EKS is entering round four of the FIA World Rallycross Championship in Lydden Hill leading the drivers and teams standings. Mattias Ekström has a score to settle with the Home of Rallycross. In 2015, he received some well-deserved champagne, but also felt a bit of disappointment. In a thrilling final, Ekström lost to Petter Solberg by just 0.341 seconds. "All in all, last years round at Lydden Hill was a good weekend, but not a perfect one, which we are looking for this year", says Ekström. "After our two stunning victories at Hockenheim and Mettet, we want to keep up the momentum. The track has a lot of race circuit parts, which suits me well and Devils Elbow is one of the best corners of the entire World RX calendar."
Teammate Toomas Topi Heikkinen is back in shape after his frustrating weekend in Belgium. "I've definitely had better events than Mettet, but we dont have time to look back in anger. Lydden Hill is up next and I know that my Audi S1 EKS RX quattro and I are still highly competitive, as we were at the first two rounds."
The latest edition of EKS Fridays will be the perfect start into the weekend. Visit EKS in the paddock on Friday, 27 May at 18.00 and watch the World RX drivers battling each other on the Race simulator. Take your chance to chat with Mattias and Topi as well.
