"LYDDEN HILL ANNOUNCES AFTER-DARK RALLYCROSS AND FIREWORK EXTRAVAGANZA"

Sept 28,2021

28th September 2021

Lydden Hill has opened ticket sales for the penultimate round of the Motorsport UK British Rallycross Championship 5 Nations Trophy Presented by Cooper Tires on 6th and 7th November. Tickets will be limited and early online bookings are advised to avoid disappointment.

Racing in darkness under floodlights returns, this time with spectators allowed, on Saturday 6th November concluding with fireworks. For the first time Saturday afternoon only tickets will be available for those wishing to see just the racing under floodlights and fireworks.

All ticket holders will have full access to the paddock, children’s entertainment, food and bars that will be available on both the Saturday and Sunday. Subject to prevailing covid rules, full paddock access will be available to all spectators.

Saturday’s race action will run from approximately 9am to 5.45pm, with racing into darkness under flood lights. Fireworks will follow at approximately 5.45pm. Sunday’s action will be entirely in daylight from approximately 10.30 am to 4pm. All of the 5 Nations BRX classes will be in action, including the return of Electro and the Retro 4WD class that features rallycross Group B icons.

Hannah Rynston, Lydden Hill Circuit Manager:

“Bonfire weekend traditionally sees action at Lydden Hill and we’re delighted to be able to host 5 Nations BRX this year. Last year we were able to hold the first floodlit rallycross at Lydden but covid meant that spectators were not allowed. It was a great sight and we’re sure the fans will love it too. We should see some great racing too, with this being the final round of the championships on UK soil before 5 Nations BRX heads to Belgium for the finale.

“To make sure as many people as possible can see the fireworks and the night racing we have decided to offer an afternoon only ticket which we hope will make the event more affordable. We’re aiming to put on a great show and a fun-packed weekend for everyone in the family.”
